After months of working out scheduling and planning, Dan, Jill and I are going to tackle the next -most airport in the continental US. On Saturday morning, we're taking to the frigid air in Dan's Bonanza, Gigi, to head to the southernmost airport in the US, sunny Key West, FL.
Unfortunately, with most of the US in the deep freezer, even KEYW doesn't promise to hold much warmth for us--at best, we're looking at a balmy 60 degrees! And probably light rain. Sigh. On Sunday we'll head back north to New Jersey.
Estimated flight time is about 7.5 hours each way. We'll be making 2 fuel stops along the way.
You can follow our progress via Dan's SPOT tracker: http://share.findmespot.com/shared/gogl.jsp?glId=0qFkystk7zigtMtv24txYLK2y3SUs3oiM Just click on the link and you'll see where we are.
I want to hear all about it when we have dinner!
