I've enjoyed your blog.

I've never been to SkyAcres and hear great things about flying in for lunch. What was your approach like from the South in order to hit the 45 degree entry to downwind? Did you avoid Class D & Dutchess country?

44N is far enough northeast to avoid hitting the POU class D if you keep the downwind at a reasonable distance. IIRC the POU class D ends at IGN VOR, which is 4.5NM southwest of the field. If you're shooting the VOR-A approach, you cross IGN at 3000 which is 300' above the D anyhow.
